In the summer of 2006 Khaldoon developed the idea of Blooming Filmmakers with Roma Backhouse. The project was set up to enable young people from marginalised communities to make films about their community. SciTV ran the project and three films were screened to great success at the Renoir Cinema as part of the Bloombsbury Festival.
